Frequently asked questions
Do you offer any person services?
At this time, all therapy services are 100% virtual. Supervision for incoming therapists is available in person upon request.
Do you offer a sliding scale?
Reduced fee services are available on a limited basis. Please contact me for further details.
Do you take insurance?
Current plans pending include: Aetna, Ambetter, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia, Cigna, Oscar Health, Oxford, Peach state for Kids, and United Healthcare.
What are the out of network options?
I provide monthly superbills for those who would like to use them. They work for most PPO plans and some EPO plans. Superbills are a receipt of services paid for (out of pocket) with a diagnosis. You submit the superbill to insurance for partial reimbursement. The amount that you get back varies and depends on your specific plan. Some people get half or even full coverage using superbills. You may need to meet your deductible before you get the reimbursement, but submitting the superbills go toward your deductible. To find out more about your coverage, please check with your insurance company.
What are your fees?
Fees vary depending on the service requested. Please see the insurance page here that lists rates.
How can I pay for services?
I accept all major credit and debit cards including FSA and HSA cards.
What is the typical frequency and number of sessions?
The frequency of sessions and the length of treatment truly depend on your unique needs, circumstances, and the practicalities of your schedule and finances. Generally, it's recommended to begin with weekly sessions for the first 6-8 weeks. After this period, we can assess your progress together and decide if adjusting the frequency of sessions, whether reducing or increasing, would be beneficial. This ongoing conversation is an important part of your therapeutic journey and one we will navigate together.
What can I expect from my first session?
In our first session together, we will take the time to review your new client paperwork, address any questions you might have, and delve deeper into your story, your background, and what brings you to therapy. This session is a wonderful opportunity for us to connect and for you to share what you hope to achieve through our work together. This initial meeting sets the foundation for a supportive and personalized healing journey, ensuring that your therapy experience is tailored to your unique needs and aspirations.
Cancellation policy
I understand that life can be unpredictable and sometimes you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. However, I have a 24-hour cancellation policy. This means that if you cancel your appointment less than 24 hours before it is scheduled, you will be charged the full session fee. The same policy applies if you no show for an appointment. For 30 and 45 minute sessions, the no show fee applies after 10 minutes, for 55 minute and intake sessions, the fee applies after 15 minutes.
